New home care provider in Weymouth unveils ambitious plans to create 50 jobs

A new home care provider has opened its first branch in West Dorset, with plans to create more than 50 jobs within the next year.

Kingsley Home Care has officially launched its Weymouth branch following successful registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) this week. The new office, located on Chickerell Road, is now ready to begin supporting its first clients.

Registered manager Tiffany Meachim, pictured, said the team was excited to bring high-quality care services to the local community.

Kingsley Home Care offers clients the reassurance of being part of the wider Kingsley Healthcare Group, one of the UK’s largest social care employers.

Miss Meachim brings extensive experience in compliance, governance and service development within the home care sector. She has previously led new branch openings and driven operational improvements.

“I am proud of my warm, people-centred leadership style and strong community engagement,” she said.

“I am passionate about raising standards in home care, improving independence for older adults, and building trusted relationships with families.”

Outside of work, Miss Meachim is a mother of two who enjoys exploring Dorset’s coastline, long walks and cooking for her family—values she says reflect her caring, community-focused approach.

Kingsley Home Care provides flexible care packages, including personal care, companionship and live-in support.

Miss Meachim added: “Kingsley is a family-run company and family is at the heart of what we do.

“We focus on the person, not just their care requirements. By understanding everyone’s unique personality and history, we tailor our approach to encourage social involvement and lifelong passions.

“From enabling independence to becoming trusted friends, we’re here to support every aspect of daily life.”

The branch has begun active recruitment and says it is a sector leader in pay rates, offering £14.50 per hour or £940 per week for live-in carers.

Those interested in a career in home care can visit the Kingsley Home Care website (kingsleyhomecare.co.uk). Miss Meachim will also attend the Weymouth Jobs Fair at Weymouth Pavilion from 10am to 2pm on April 24.

For more information about care services, prospective clients and families can contact the Weymouth branch directly on 01305 443349.
